Mumbai Indians (MI) hosted Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on 14th April and lost the match by 20 runs. CSK batted first and scored a massive target of 206 runs, which MI were unable to chase down.

After the first innings, commentator Harsha Bhogle tweeted out that he felt the score was too low. He claimed CSK would have scored 20 runs more, especially with the dew in the 2nd innings and a thin bowling line-up. This offended former Indian spinner, Laxman Sivaramakrishnan, who attacked him publicly on X. Since then, his X account has been set private, with many unable to view his tweets.

You guys love to put Chennai guys down, you have done it with me but not with csk. Mumbai freaks. Really wonder what your contribution is to Indian cricket.  Laxman Sivaramakrishnan wrote

CSK managed to defend the target really well thanks to the performances of their pacers. Tushar Deshpande, Shardul Thakur and Matheesha Pathirana only conceded 92 runs in their combined 12 overs, with the Sri Lankan taking four wickets.

Laxman Sivaramakrishnan reveals R. Ashwin ignored his call

Ravichandran Ashwin recently became the 14th Indian to play 100 Tests. Laxman Sivaramakrishnan revealed that he tried to call Ashwin to congratulate him, but was ignored. He went on X to complain, claiming that former cricketers don’t get respect.

Tried calling him a few times to wish him for his 100th Test. Just cut off my call. Sent him a message, no reply. Thats the respect we former cricketers get. Laxman Sivaramakrishnan wrote on X

The former Indian spinner had earlier slandered Ashwin on X, claiming he was a liability. Sivaramakrishnan also claimed that Ashwin only had a great record because the pitches were doctored for him.
