Euro giants ‘have been offered’ Tottenham ace with 31 league appearances this season

AC Milan have been offered the chance to sign Danish international Pierre-Emile Højbjerg.

Spurs have started planning for the upcoming transfer window. While they are looking at ways to further bolster their squad, the North London club are also looking to part ways with a few of their players who are no longer a part of their plans moving ahead.

Pierre-Emile Højbjerg is one of the players who could be on his way out this summer and according to a report by Calciomercato, European giants AC Milan ‘have been offered’ the chance to sign the Tottenham ace.

The 28-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at the club since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou and he is looking to switch clubs in search of regular first-team action.

Tottenham exit would be ideal for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

The Danish international was a mainstay in their team until last season. While he still remains an integral part of their first team having featured in 31 league games, Højbjerg has had limited game time under Postecoglou. He has racked up less than 1,100 minutes in his 31 league appearances.

The 28-year-old is not happy with the ongoing situation and with his contract running out in the summer of 2025, a move away could be the best possible option for all parties involved. AC Milan are the ones who have been offered the opportunity to sign the former Bayern Munich midfielder.

The Italian giants need reinforcements in the centre of the park. They are looking for a new defensive midfielder who can help shield the back line. While they have other targets on their radar as well, Milan have been given the opportunity to sign Højbjerg.

The report states that Milan are not too keen on him because of his age and the economic side of things. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.
