Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has decided to start Stefan de Vrij in defense and Nicolo Barella in midfield against Monza. This evening’s Serie A clash is scheduled for 20.45 CET.

Inzaghi has made a few changes to the team that won against Hellas Verona last weekend.

In defense, Francesco Acerbi drops out. Therefore, it is de Vrij who starts in his place, the Dutchman’s first start since Napoli more than a month ago.

Then, Alessandro Bastoni and Benjamin Pavard play on either side of de Vrij.

Meanwhile, in midfielder, it’s the usual trio.

That means that Davide Frattesi once again misses out.

Therefore, it’s the usual trio of Nicolo Barella, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Hakan Calhanoglu in midfield.

Marko Arnautovic & Marcus Thuram Start In Attack

Thirdly, on the flanks the Italian international duo of Federico Dimarco and Matteo Darmian start.

Meanwhile, Juan Cuadrado has undergone surgery and will be out for quite some time.

On the other hand, Tajon Buchanan is in a matchday squad for the first time since joining from Club Brugge earlier this month.

Meanwhile, Denzel Dumfries is on the bench. As is Carlos Augusto, a player who joined from Monza last summer.

Fourthly, in attack, the first-choice duo of Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram get the nod.

That means that Alexis Sanchez and Marko Arnautovic are on the bench.

And in goal, former Bayern Munich veteran Yann Sommer starts this evening.

The likes of Yann Bisseck, Kristjan Asllani, and Davy Klaassen are also on the bench,
