Scotland manager Steve Clarke has been given assurances over the commitment of Elliot Anderson this week.

The Newcastle United star has opted to play for Scotland instead of England in international football.

Anderson, who has played for Scotland's Under-21s, will be involved in their senior squad for upcoming games.

He will likely play against Cyprus in a Euro 2024 qualifier, or against England in a friendly.

The youngster has been a peripheral first team player for the Magpies so far this season.

Anderson has come off the bench in all of the club's Premier League games so far this term.
